I had a very good time at the birthday meeting and I hope everyone else did as well. Everyone who brought food has my sincerest thanks for their contribution. Also thanks to all those who participated in the raffle. I can guarantee that we will have an even bigger raffle in December.
I am planning a huge surprise for the next meeting! The only thing I am going to say is - be there! You won't want to miss this one.
Compared to early club meetings, these last two have been pretty quiet. It is imperative that you let other officers know what more we can do for you if we are not meeting your needs. Ideas for lectures or activities are always welcome.
The only thing I can say is if you want to be involved - come to the meetings. I don't think that this newsletter is providing the kind of excitement and information that the meetings do and it is not supposed to. The newsletter simply lets you know where to show up and when each month!
Come out of the shadows. Come to a meeting!
Your president,
Nathan Block

Wow! What a great meeting & party we had in July. I had a great time and I hope you all did too.
It sure would be nice if we could have more trivia contests even if it was just for fun. The knowledge that can be picked up from the answers to the questions is reward enough for me.
The July meeting was very successful in that we collected an additional $68.00 from the sale of raffle tickets along with our regular Dom sales. We also had a membership renewal so all in all our total receipts for July was $158.00.
Now the bad news. We spent more than we took in due to the fact the club bought the ham for the party and also some software for raffle prizes. Also, we needed to reimburse Joe for his time spent on BBS boards downloading and searching programs for our Doms.
Nathan also decided to purchase a few pieces of software for the club since our inventory of software has been dwindling recently. The net effect of July's transactions was a negative balance of $159.71 which drops our bank balance to $623.72.
Please keep our club financially healthy by keeping up your membership renewals and I hope the future meetings can be as enjoyable as the July one.
See you all in August.
FROM THE EDITOR:
Your input is very important! Your own articles about the software your using, type of equipment you have, troubles you have had and how you got over them, serve to inform all the other members who may not know and are very much interested to learn.
Had it not been for the BBS report, this months newsletter would have gone out as a single page!

These are a few of the people you can meet on the SPACE BBS!
Since late May, early June when I asked for and received help from K-Products, the BBS has settled down to where it can be deemed reliable. A lot of behind the scenes work was accomplished and there are some nagging glitches left. The minor inconvieniences are strictly for your returning to friendly sysop.
Many thanks to those who are prompt at pulling down your F-Mail and deleting the file(s). It seems to help keep the f-mail section clean of problems.
